Register for Arizona defensive driving school early, because classes
fill up quickly. When you get there, you’ll be asked to check in with
your identification and a copy of the eligibility affidavit you’ve
received from the court. Class, whether you attend online or offline,
will be a minimum of five and a half hours long, but may last much
longer depending on your program.
Here are some of the topics you’ll cover:
- Vehicle safety and maintenance
- Driving under all road and weather conditions
- Traffic signs and signals
The main idea behind this course is to help make Arizona’s roads safer.
Driving is a privilege, not a right. At the end of the course,
according to Arizona Supreme Court rules, you must take a defensive
driving exam. In order to successfully complete the course, you must
score 80% or better on the first part and 90% or better on the second
part.
