of an Arizona DUI face penalties depending on the number of offenses
they’ve had in the past. The “look back” time in Arizona is seven

First or second offense (class 1 misdemeanor):
- At least 10 days in jail or 24 hours in jail and court-ordered

Extreme DUI (class 1 misdemeanor):
- Minimum of 30 days in jail
- Mandatory ignition interlock device installation
- Possible community restitution
- Possible continuous alcohol monitoring
Aggravated DUI (class 1 misdemeanor, class 4 felony if for
reasons of license suspension or 3rd offense or class 6 felony if for
reasons of children in the car):
- Up to $4,000 in fines and abatement fees
- Minimum of 4 months in jail for class 4, 10 days for class 6
- Probation for up to 10 years
- Mandatory ignition interlock device installation (at your
expense)
- Possible community restitution
- Automatic license revocation for 3 years
Underage DUI (class 2 misdemeanor):
- Probation for up to 2 years
- Mandatory ignition interlock device installation (at your
expense)
- Possible community restitution
- $1,500 in fines, plus an 80% surcharge
- 30 days to 2 years license suspension, plus possible 2 months
restriction on driving only to home/work/school/treatment
