Speeding fines are dependant on how you plea and if you are found
guilty. How much you pay also changes if you have had prior citations.
Speeding comes with an automatic three points on your license if you
are found guilty in most cases. If you have other points and you are
pushed over “eight,” your license will be suspended and you’ll have to
pay to get it back.
Speeding fines are also higher if you are caught speeding in a school
zone, since fines are automatically doubled. Fines are also higher if
you’re driving at “excessive” speeds or otherwise driving
recklessly.
